Our Creative Director, Chris Heighton, has recently designed a typographic
recruitment advertisement for Arnold & Baldwin Chartered Surveyors.
Here's what he has to say about this project:
"It was a real challenge this advert as the publication's target audience are,
shall we say, set in their ways and fairly old hat apparently! After a bit
of pondering, head scratching and cappuccino making, I read between the lines
of the brief and came up with something new and different, that the client is very happy with.
The surveyors market place usually revolves around images of buildings and
hard hats, with an audience less art and tech savvy. Times are changing though,
as a new breed of young and vibrant surveyors, who are artisans and technology
geeks in their own right, are hitting the streets. Arnold & Baldwin wanted to
capture this new audience, to find the right surveyor to fit the mould of their
fresh and innovative approach to business in the surveying world.
As a creative designer, I always try to think outside the box, to produce a
piece that engages the audience and stands out from the industry norm. This
advert has all the qualities that I stand by, and more importantly, it delivers
all aspects of the brief laid out by Joe at Arnold & Baldwin, as well as fitting
in with the Arnold & Baldwin brand philosophy.
It is a clear stand out advertisement within the magazine."
